This weekend, not only is Microsoft letting sliver members taste the sweet nectar of online play with FREE Golden Membership, Steam is letting you play the PC version of Left 4 Dead for a full 24 HOURS! The free Xbox Gold Membership will go into effect today, Friday May 1 through Monday May 4. For me, it’s a gift from God, but for everyone else here on Digital Cross Fire, they pay for Xbox Live Gold. I have the PSN mentality . . .

The 24 hours are dwindling down for Left 4 Dead from time of writing. Beginning  5:01 p.m. PDT Thursday and end 5:00 p.m Friday, you will be able to download the Stream program, download the game, play Left 4 Dead, then buy Left 4 Dead 5:10 p.m Friday. Trust us.
